About the Cambridge home visit service
The home visit service is available for those with complex needs which impair your ability to attend face-to-face appointments in clinic. The home visit service is available to eligible persons in the Cambridge area for acupuncture, tuina manual therapy, cupping or guasha treatment. Your treatment may involve any of these disciplines as appropriate for your needs. Following your comprehensive consultation, and depending on your own preferences, we'll agree your treatment plan.
The home visit service is appropriate for temporary or long-term care. The home visit is also appropriate for continuing care where you are unable to access your current practitioner (see practitioner referral below).
About home visit appointments
Home visit appointments may be 60-120 minutes in duration according to individual need. Appointments will include consultation and treatment.
In your first appointment, there may be some additional assessment, palpation and consultation, as well as some paperwork. I value person-centred and person-lead care so you’ll always be involved in how your care is planned. We'll make sure you're comfortable before commencing any treatment and there is never any obligation to undress beyond your comfort level.
Eligibility and consultation
Eligibility for the home visit service is based on health needs or other factors which impair your ability to attend face-to-face appointments in clinic. This does not need to be the same as the health need for your treatment and may include chronic health conditions, physical disabilities and other complex needs, as well as injury or other acute issues. Eligibility will be confirmed in advance of your appointment.
Location and travel
The home visit service is available in the Cambridge area, in particular within a 10 mile distance (measured by route) of CB2 1NT (beyond this, a travel surcharge is applied).
A travel surcharge is applicable to attend homes in excess of a 10 mile travel distance from CB2 1NT at £1.00 per mile. This is measured by route distance, i.e. 50p per mile each way.
A parking surcharge is applicable to attend homes where no convenient free parking is available at cost.
Surcharges will be confirmed in advance of your home visit acupuncture appointment.
Appointment fees
Home visit acupuncture appointments are charged at £70 per session. Acupuncture, manual therapy, cupping or guasha treatment may be involved in your care at no additional charge. Travel and parking surcharges may apply, as discussed above.
Scheduling your home visit appointment
Your home visit appointment can be booked below. The online booking system is simple and convenient to use. On booking, you will be prompted to complete a short form covering directions to your home, your current care provision, the space where treatment will be carried out and your eligibility for home visit acupuncture appointments. A detailed health questionnaire may also be completed online or during your appointment. Adaptations will be made according to your needs.
